Consideration Fee for Initial Overview
For all new oversight service requests, there is a £240 consideration fee. This fee covers the initial assessment and decision-making process to determine whether the Institute for Ethical Research Governance (IERG) can provide oversight services for the research. During this stage, IERG will review the submitted materials to ensure the project aligns with our areas of expertise and ethical standards. If we are unable to provide oversight, we will issue a detailed report outlining the steps or modifications necessary for the oversight request to be reconsidered or accepted. This report aims to assist researchers in meeting the necessary methodological, ethical, and procedural, requirements at an early stage.
Notes:
- Fees may vary based on the scope, scale, and complexity of the research, as well as the level of documentation and review required.
- For multidisciplinary studies that cross over several categories, a customised quote may be necessary.
- Consultation services may be available for an additional fee if further guidance is needed on ethical issues not covered in standard reviews.
